Mix the following ingredients and place in large crock pot:

1 cup water
One package of dry ranch dressing mix
one large can (29 ounces) of tomato sauce
one can diced tomatoes with green chilies
one can corn
one can pinto beans
one can black-eyed peas
one can kidney beans
one medium onion
three medium potatoes
salt and pepper to taste

1 1/2 to two cups or so of two of the following meats:
chicken pieces
browned ground beef
link sausage
stew meat

Serve with cornbread and green tomato relish on a cold day. Freezes well.
